AANR Education Foundation Scholarships Awarded
The AANR Education Foundation is pleased to announce the 2011 scholarship awards. Five very deserving young people have chosen the colleges and universities where the awards were sent. The recipients represent AANR clubs from across the entire United States (there were no applicants from Canada.) Here, in alphabetical order, are short profiles of each.
Sarah Bage, age 20, is from White Tail Park in Virginia and a third year recipient of a Foundation scholarship. She will transfer to James Madison University for her third year and is planning to get her Masters Degree in speech pathology. She challenged herself this year by taking a Human Anatomy and Physiology course involving both lecture and lab work. She states that this experience has motivated her to be more adventurous in trying other courses.
Thomas Fiala, age 19, states that he has been a nudist since age 0. He is enrolled at Colorado State University with plans to obtain a degree in either Finance or Economics. He likes the math involved because, as he states, there are concrete answers. He is a certified lifeguard for the city where he lives and with his experience on that job, has been promoted up through the ranks. He is now going through training to learn the responsibilities required to be a manager of the pool.
David A. W. Hittle, age 22, is now a member of AANR after attending nudist events with his parents while growing up. He will attend the University of Louisville and plans to major in Political Sciences. He currently serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Valley High School Alumni Association. He is also their Parliamentarian. He is self-employed, selling sewing supplies on the Internet, both on eBay and through his own website. His career aspiration is to become a Constitutional Lawyer.
Justin Paquet, age 21, attends Husson University in Bangor, ME. His major is Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management. His love of sports is demonstrated in the fact that he not only played sports in high school, but captained both football and track teams. He says that he holds the Maine State Record for most interceptions in a football game with 5! He works at a center that helps individuals with disabilities. He is certified in First Aid/CPR.
These young people fully deserve the awards they have been given. Their credentials are impeccable and their ambitions high. But we know that there are future students who will also request financial help from the AANR Education Foundation, a 501(c)3 corporation. Won’t you please make a tax deductible donation to help them reach their goals? Go to the Donations page, and you can contribute today! Or send a check, payable to AANR Education Foundation to 16669 Topeka Lane, Choctaw, OK 73020.
